What? False, I've personally been stung by a lionfish and its just a bit worse than a bee sting for me.

Seem pretty fair to me, I know with the stand it would be about 1000 at my local fish stores for tanks of those sizes. Definitely seems within reason atleast, less than 400 for a 125 predrilled is nice.

Thats good, I honestly thought you went and got a tank at first and threw some fish in there and I was like fail start haha. Hope they do well tho, keep us updated with pics and whatnot. And def keep the lights off as mkroher said, that will help a lot atleast for another day or two I would say.

If your set on making it super tall, it could work. When you clean it you could just do massive water changes at the same time, like take out half so you can lean down in and be able to reach the bottom without submerging your face. Not sure if this still allows you to take it to the floor but...

Why not just make it only like 2 feet deep so you can arrange the rocks and have corals. I would prefer that over the extra depth imo.

I always heard triggers and lions dont get along sometimes? The trigger will nip at the lionfish's fins. Maybe add the lion first so he'll have been there first, might help control the aggression. And yes I second DeeJeff's statement about adding them slowly.

Well since this will be an "aggressive tank" with the lionfish, make sure you have ample amounts of filtration (aka a good wet/dry system) or something sufficient to knock out all the waste their going to be producing. But anyways, onto the fish. Those sound good, you could toss an eel in there...

Suggestions? Sounds like you know what your doing already haha. I think a lot of people don't quite like the UV sterilizers, especially in reef tanks. I'll let someone else who knows more talk about that though since I've never used one. Seems like you've done your research and are pretty good...
