I wouldn't see why not. T4 is rated at 1225 @ 3ft and the scwd is recommended for 1200 or less. Just use a ball valve is your worried and tone it down. I use a mag 12 but I am looking for a T4 to run with my scwd. Mag is too noisy.

You don't count the drops that it takes. You have to read what it says on the 1 ml syringe after it changes color. Be sure to hold it upside down when taking the reading. After you take the reading look at your chart that comes with the kit and you will know what your alk is. HTH
