I have a chromie that appears to be dying. I attempted to catch it but it was able to get behind the rocks. I have at least 100 pounds of rock in a 75 gal.
Should I move all my rock to try catch the fish or will the clean up crew take care of it if I don't get it?
I have to clean the glass every couple days on the front and sides. I am not worried about the back.
Would more snails help with keeping the glass clean?
They appear to be doing ok. My nitrates have been running about 20. Will they help lower it at all?
I do not have any in the new refuguim. How many should I have in it?
I have have read that some people have 50 snails in their tank. :hilarious
I have a 75 gallon, 10 gallon sump and a 10 gallon refugium. Approx. 100 pounds liverock, 3 chomies, royal gramma, 9 turbo snails, 10 Hermit Crabs, 8 snails that go down in the sand, hammer coral, and mushrooms.
My question is how many snails and hermit crabs should I have in my main tank and in...
I added a 10 gallon refugium under my tank next to the sump 3 days ago. Now I am getting a green algae just starting to appear on some of the rocks in my main tank. Is this a problem? If so what should I do?
My main tank has been up and running for 3 1/2 months. 75 gallon.

I am adding a 10 gallon refugium next to my sump.
My question is do I add 10 gallons of salt water or do I just add 10 gallons of RO/DI water to my system and pump it into the refugium?
I have a new flame angel that arrive 7 days ago. He stays in the rocks and does not come out at all not even to eat. I see him swimming through the rocks some but not much. I noticed him picking at the rocks.
Could he be getting enough food just staying inside the rocks? My tank is 75 g and has...
I have a sea clone skimmer. It doesn't appear to produce much waist. My nitrates seem to stay aroung 20 or eventually return to 20 after a 20 gal water change. I thought a better skimmer might be in order.
How much waist should a good skimmer be producing in a 75 gal tank with 4 fish, numerous crabs and snail, starfish, mushrooms, aninomes and soft coral ?
In the sump type of skimmer.
Should you quarantine cured live rock when adding it to a 2 1/2 month old tank that already has LR, 4 fish, snails, crabs, mushrooms, polips (sp?), and bubble coral?
