    Holy Ick, Batman!

I inherited the Tang with HLLE with the idea that I could nurse it back to health or try to find a home for it. My buddy couldn't find a home for it so I took it in. I'm feeding it frozen herbivore cubes with vitamin c and flake, once each daily. My tank is a 46 bowfront with an eheim canister...

    Holy Ick, Batman!

I believe my fish have an "ick" infection. What should I do? I know this sounds like I'm just asking for advice without research but I have been doing some research. I've heard about Hyposalinity, Copper, and little "ick" [hr] . But I have a lot of questions and don't want to jeopardize the...

    My New 10 Gal Reef!

Off to a great start! Nice new addition to the tank. We added a perc just a few weeks ago.

How the fish are really caught (sometimes)

This is all very interesting to me. What a great experience to be able to have. Someday I'll get SCUBA certified. When I do, Catalina will be first on my list. (I live in Fullerton)

    What do I need?

I'm an amateur, but thought I'd throw this in: MH's are known to be hot, you could consider raising them from the tank a couple of inches or switching to compact flourescents. I have a 46 with compact flourescents and they seem to be perfect. I have one 150W heater in the tank with good flow...

    Too Many Water Changes?

Thanks everyone for all the info. I think the problem may be diatoms, which is strange because my tank has been cycled for quite a long time now, and as I understand it they're common in new tanks. I do water changes about every two weeks but lately have been doing them every week to ten days...

    Too Many Water Changes?

I have a tank which has been up for over a year and my sand gets ugly every few days. I like the tank to look good for when I have parties / visitors and I'm just wondering what everyone's experience/opinions are on this. Can I do water changes too frequently? I use water that is from the ocean...

    Hmm.. ID Please

Definately floppy and soft... The picture quality is poor but I've looked all over the internet and haven't seen anything that looks close enough to it. The dots are throwing me off.

    Hmm.. ID Please

I know the pic quality is poor... but can you identify please? It's light purplish with green dots all over it, and sort of looks like a brain coral in shape. There is another one growing a couple inches away, its about 3mm in diameter.
