I just bought a coralife needle wheel skimmer today and was going through setup and it said it needs a 24 hr period to break in, does that mean with bubbles or without?

Well to make things worse I was informed on one of my previous threads that I have white xenias and they are the hardest to care for, go figure lfs got me that time( I specified easy care corals to start )

i havent lost anymore of the finger coral or the xenias in a couple days

ok i have three corals in my tank at the moment, green mushroom corals(doing great), pulsing xenias(lost half of the colony but the other half is doing decent), and a finger coral( lost most of it but the part facing up towards the light), is this normal at all?

I have it set up in sump style and running all night I have to empty the cup it's almost full

Ok well the foam might be a little too fine but that's ok, mine puts alot of microbubbles in the tank

Ok a pic of what it should look like would help alot, if anyone has any

It's in the skimmer cup, but I thought it was supposed to be big bubbles

Ok I got my new pump for my protein skimmer and now I have a new problem, my seaclone skimmer keeps putting out foam not big bubbles, I'm getting a new skimmer within the month but I need the skimmer to work until then, any suggestions?

lol thanks for the help, i the directions said put media in container and then seal lid, but before that it was like take the intake tube out and wipe it down, never said anything about putting it back in...lol (way to go direction writers...lol)

lol its ok, i figured it out, the directions were confusing but here is how i did it, plate-foam thing - carbon media- plate foam thing ( from the bottom up ) ill be sure to post some pics then and how much the tank clears up

hey guys im a little confused with the order of the media to the parts in the reactor can anyone help me out here?

am i the only person here who cant keep thier sand white? lol mine gets green and brownish
