    Infamous Bryopsis

Just started the treatment with Tech M. Man you do need a lot of this stuff. Just in 3 days for my Biocube 14 I'll use up a whole bottle of that stuff if my math is correct. I'm gonna go out and get some more.

    Infamous Bryopsis

The inverts that I have are: emerald crab, some zebra hermits, pistol shrimp, peppermint shrimp and a skunk cleaner shrimp. Everyone thanks for the great advice and I'll be heading down to my LFS this weekend to try and find some Tech M and getting that level between 1650-1800 in a week or so...

    Infamous Bryopsis

Thanks for the comment. About the feeding... I switched to once a day feedings instead of twice a day about 4 months ago so that has been consistent for a while. I also lowered my lighting time a while back from about 9 am - 8pm. It's been at 1pm-8pm for a while now. I guess I'll shorten it a...

    Infamous Bryopsis

Hey guys I got a slight problem. I've had an on again off again problem with algae for the past few months in my nano-reef and never really thought anything of it until I decided to do a little research into what this could be and how it is so resilient. Turns out I got a ton of Bryopsis...

Refugium Setup in a Biocube 14?

I swear I already posted something.... but anyway thanks for all the advice. I guess I'll go with no sand or live rock, just chaeto, and the submersible LED to go along with it, if I can find one. Also I've heard that chaeto is one of those really fast growing algaes, right? So I'm assuming...

    Biocube 14 suggestions

I've had a great experience with my 14 biocube. All in one setup is really nice and the lighting is above average, I'd say, but like BTL, is great for some easier corals. Good luck!

Refugium Setup in a Biocube 14?

Sounds great! Would you guys reccommend a combination of live rock and chaeto in the refugium? I also read about potentially having the bioballs in there as well (which are in a plastic bag below my tank at the moment). Would having some sort of pad blocking/slowing the flow output from the...

Refugium Setup in a Biocube 14?

Hey everyone! In the past month or so I've had an ongoing cyano/hair algae problem in my Biocube 14. My Xenia, zoas, and mushrooms are doing just fine as well as my two false percs sixline wrasse, cleaner and peppermint shrimps. However, despite the fact that I keep using chemiclean and doing...

    Weird series of events....

I got standard biocube lighting, it is live rock, and the bubbles just appear there and come back every day, even though I use a tank-only turkey-baister to push them off. My nitrate levels are pretty low (I measured them just the other day). However, the said piece of live rock is relatively...

    Weird series of events....

Hey guys. Noticed that my rock near the top of the tank (14g Biocube) keeps sprouting air bubbles almost every day and it looks like I've had a small outbreak of some hair algae. ALso, my hammer coral looks like he's a goner. Any solutions or connections to why this is happening? Thanks

    Pymgy angel in a 14gal?

Just found my tiny pistol shrimp! Turns out he made a very small, inconspicuous burrow under some of my rock. just thought you guys might like to know.

    Pymgy angel in a 14gal?

Alright well thanks for all the advice. It was a bad idea, I suppose. A man can dream though, a man can dream.
