The stuff I was interested in is sold at my LFS. It's pure white and very fine sand. Finer than LS.

Was debating aon what type of sand to go with. Live sand or the really fine stuff. Kinda like the looks of the fine sand. What are the cons of it from folks who have used it.

Just wondering how long before it becomes critical for your tank when you have a power outage?

It would be on a open tank. The light would sit on the legs that came attached. It also has chain attachments if I want to hang it. The tank is about 22 inches deep ( I think). As for fans....can the computer type cooling fans be used for this? Thanks

When kick starting a new tank. I have heard discussions about ghost feeding or using raw shrimp. If I ghost feed....do you do it daily (22 g) or if I use a raw shrimp. Is it true, you leave it in until it starts to get fuzzy/rot and then remove it? Thanks

Trying to decide on a cannister or a hand-on back filter for a 22 gallon tank. Wont have a sump/fuge and I like the idea of being able to hide a cannister. But, I have heard that cannisters can add unwanted stuff into you tank. If so, would this be magified in a smaller tank? Thanks

Would this be overkill (250 mh) on a 22 gallon cube style tank. The tank is not up and running. Still getting the rest of the supplies and was offered a 250 mh for free from my brother in law. Don't want to spend cash on a chiller? In input would help. Thanks
