Thanx for the answer but it's still a little unclear to me......water drains from overflow to the sump then it has to get to the skimer and back to the sump before it goes back to display?

I've been reading and looking at different sumps, but I still not understanding how to hook up my sump properly. My sump will get a water from my build in overflow. Sump is about 2 feet below the display tank. Then it will go through a series of different height buffers..... The part I don't...

I've heard a lot of controvercy about using lightning for cycling. Now I want to ask all your opinions on this subject. Lets just say I have a 175w MH - 2-75W VHO. What should I use for cycling? I'm pretty sure I can leave my MH off. But what about VHO, should I use actinics or change it to...

I'm sorry I din't catch that.... Start cycling everything normally with LR/LS, but without any plants in a fuge? Is that what you meant? Thats what I was thinking...so I can add macroalgea to my fuge after I'm done cycling?

acrylic is plastic. There is no problem to drill it. The only thing you have to do is start with 1/8" and go gradually bigger on a drill bits and be carefull not to move the tank while you are drilling.
