How to get Green Hair Algae off of LR??

Damsel- It looks better. It does not appear to be coming back right away. I have my lights off except for about 1 hour per day. My emerald green is dancing weird and jumping on his back, I think he is either molting or dying. I am hoping for the former. There are tufts floating around of hair...

    Live Sand in a bag?

JRX7- Not sure where you are in NY but if you are downtown or in the 5 boroughs, there is a great place in NJ that is an easy drive from Manhatten. Travel over into NJ, either bridge will do, when you get to Newark, find your way onto RT 22 south. On this road there are 3 saltwater shops. I have...

    SPONGES

VKESUyou are correct they are sponges. The colored things that look like egg casings are sponges. They are nothing to worry about. As for the tentacles that come out, I think that there are just some of those worm things (I forgot the name) in or around the sponges, but they are most likely two...

    WHITE OUT

you could of had some type of spawning going on. Maybe some critter in the tank released it's egg's/sperm. This is not a bad thing but can quickly degrade the H20 quality. If you have fan worms and they look like they are all sitting fat.... it could be. The fan worms and other filter feeders...

food of blue leg hermit crabs?

Class Clown is right they are just oppurtunistic animals. When something is dying they will eat it. If a snail is healthy and flipped over on it's back helplesss, and MR. Blue legs walks by , he will most likely eat it..... Just part of evolution

    Fav. Cleanup Crew Member

Abalone- coolest ever. Like a snail without a shell... It looks like an all terrain vehicle that moves fast and cleans everything in it's way. Cleaner shrimp are a very close second, in terms of friendliness.
