I voted acrylic only because you expressed it for a lagoon. If it was a reef then glass because of chances to scratch the glass with the rocks.

My rock is supported by the sand not really on top. Like it has been mentioned you just try not to cover to much arae of the sand. It helps stabilize the rock. IMO

Of the two choices I believe the common to be more practical as it seems less territorial. But why just between these 2, so many others to chose from.

I purchased a blue/purple montipora cap. It has been changing to a brown color. I have it under MH, is this because to much light and it is darking itself or to little? Its about 18" from the bulb which is 10k. The bulb is 8 months old so I expect a shift in light but no other coral has changed...

Man you got bad luck. Coral should make it. Hope things go better, you sound do.

I tend to go with waterfaller test your cal and the rest of the perameters before chosing to change water or not. I also feel some elements need replenishing and changes accomplish this.

What exactly is a closed loop system? Just want to make sure I'm on the same page as everyone.
