It has been a loooong time since ive been on here last and ive had some issues since then. I went through a few rough periods when my tank wasn't exactly a priority to me, and ive had one main problem. I had a hair algea break out, and now that im out of school i have time to do something about...

Well, ive tried pulling it out over and over but it just doesnt go away!! so, how do i get rid of my hair algae problem (that popped up a few weeks ago and started to spread...fast) I know my phosphates and nitrates are part of the cause, there a little high because ive been busy and couldnt...

My stuff is young for the most part, but my Orange Ocellaris Clown is at least 5-6 years old...i got her from my older brother who had her in a little 10g for 2 years, then i got it and paired it with a black one.the black one is prabably 3-4years and my firefish are like 1year.

YES!!!!!!! thats a huge relief...i thought it would en up being some kind of invasive bad algae because of how much there is...so how long does it usually take to grow??? i havnt added anything for a long time, and im just now seeing the stuff...also, how big do they get?

i would guess from those options it looks most like peyssonnilia...(kinda hard to tell from my ipod screen though, lol)

Ive been noticing some red algae growing arownd my tank recently and i thought it was cyano, but now its starting to like shelf off of the rock, so im wondering if it may be some type of corraline...If it is bad, how do i get rid of it??...Thanks in advance...Hunt (sorry the pics are so fuzzy)

thanks everyone, i got it with the pliers...i just didnt want to break the bulb or fixture.

my light bulb just burned out for the first time so i tried to take it out of the socket, but it wont come out, the bulb popped off of the part that plugs into a black socket. its a 21" coralife 65w pc bulb i need to get out, but the end is stuck in the socket. (straight pin) anyone know how to...

my parameters are fine. there actually better than theyve been in a while because i just got my nitrates under 10ppm so i dont think thats the problem either...i check my water once a week also.

I have plenty of live rock (25lbs in a 29g tank), and they (theres 2 of them) have been in there for a little over a year. Theres an older pic, if rearranged the rocks, and cleaned the walls since then, but you can see how much rock there is, and they like to hide in the rock farthest to the left.
