I had one in a previous set-up. They are one of the more aggressive tangs IMO. I would not try one if you have other tangs. They enjoy eating like pigs and frequent small feedings are a must. They are very active and their velvety skin is very prone to ich. They will do best if they are the boss...

Peppermint shrimp are not aggressive - I have two in my 20g with two false percs and a bunch of snails. :)

I think you could do two tangs in a 125g, but I wouldn't recommend a Naso or a Sohal in anything smaller than 200g (and certainly not both in the same tank). They get huge (18" +) and are very active stiff-bodied fish. Considering that your tank is probably 24" (front to back) an adult fish...

I don't think there is much of a difference between bagged LS and the stuff they sell here as LS. If you want to save yourself some money, try to find a Home Depot that sells Southdown tropical play sand (aka Yardright or Old Castle). That stuff is ideal for SW aquariums. You will need to cure...

For fish, nitrates can safely be around 40. For inverts you'd want less than 20. Obviously, the closer to zero, the better. What are your ammonia and nitrite readings? If you are detecting ANY amount of either ammonia or nitrite, then I would suggest you continue with small frequent water...
