    20 gal makeover

It says it's good for up to 75 gal, so I don't see why not. Checked it out after I got it, looks like quite the little machine. I'm still awaiting the box that hides the pump to arrive, but overall I like it better than my previous setup. But time will tell. King

    20 gal makeover

Nice set up with the sump. Ended up ordering the remora, we'll see how it goes. Sorry for the lack of reply but was underway for a bit. I am on the Big Stick, Theodore Roosevelt. Been on it for about 1 1/2 yrs. Was previously on the Georgia out of Bangor, WA many moons ago King

Leather not coming out to play

Thaks everybody, I am not overly concerned, but I was starting to think that something wasn't right. It is changing a slightly differnt color, maybe just getting used to my lighting I guess. Anyway when it opened my polyps were anywhere from stubby to ~1/2" I guess. Again, thanks for all your...

Leather not coming out to play

Well, I bought a toadstool leather about 2 weeks ago. Within a day or 2 it was opened up and enjoying itself (I assume). After about week or so it has stopped opening up, This has gone on for about the last 4 days. I had done a water change and figured that maybe it wasn't happy with that...

    test kit

Wow, that's a tough one. But if I were to make a guess, I'd say it's more blue than green, so maybe farther down the color chart? And for some reason the third block from the top is a darker color than the rest. Hope that helps. I always hated pH tests, my wife just bought me the...

    Salt Mix Prices

Depending on where you are in VA, I pick up saltwater here in VA beach. They are $1/gal. Not to bad for me not to have to mix it, and I store it in 7 gal camping jugs. They also do RO/DI for $.25/gal. King

    kingbrd1's 20 gal

It's in the same family as a green star polyp but has a smaller center and hairy fingers while GSP do not. I've looked in my coral book and they mention them on the same page. But I've had it for about 3 weeks or so and it's already sprading across the rock it came on. King

    kingbrd1's 20 gal

Doh, math major and everything..:notsure: ..it's the simple stuff I guess....too many 5's floating around?.....ok I got no excuse. Yeah I believe it is caribean LR. I like the flatness of it, it makes it a little easier to stack and still get some caves in there for the fish and anything else...

    kingbrd1's 20 gal

Thanks everybody, it's much smaller than I had wanted and had planned, but you go with what you can get. Anyway lighting is the thing I forgot to write. It's 135W PC corallife, 65W actinic and 65W 10,000K. It's actually a pretty decent light setup, if I get some woodwaorking tools I'd like...
