thanks for all the input, its a big help. we have several LFS close by and they are all different, but my first impression is that most are quality shops. clean, healthy looking livestock. i'm still new, so i don't know about which fish should be seperated or together, but i get the idea that...

I guess I don't know what the "standards" are for a good LFS. Do they give refunds on dead fish? or dead coral? I can see both sides of it, but I don't know what's acceptable and whats not. Is there a thread discussing what makes a good LFS?

I got a yellow toadstool over the weekend. It looked fine until Tues AM, it had started slumping. Now its completely fallen over. The stalk has narrowed by about 25% too. The color has remained the same My water parameters are good and have remained consistent since cyling three months...

I got three of these guys on some live rock i just added to my new setup (first aquarium). at first, i didn't think much about it, but now i noticed they are moving around. what is it?

any suggestions for a good skimmer? Ive got room in my sump area (wet/dry). i dont mind spending some money on a quality skimmer, within reason. i guess im looking for the best value. im new to this obsession, so let me know if im missing any important details.
