    Moving to a new house...

I will be moving only about 5 minutes away. FWIW...the tank is acrylic...and I did move it before with the sand still in there (my husband made this really cool stretcher type thing from wood, so that the bottom of the tank was fully supported while moving it ).

    Moving to a new house...

I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place, but if not, please direct me to where I should be. I am moving to a new house on the 26th of this month. I have a 100 gallon tank (with not a whole lot of stuff). I've had it up and running in this new house for about 18 months now, and...

    new saltwater owner

Cycling times vary. My tank cycles in 2 1/2 weeks...whereas I've heeard others on here talking about a month...and I believe I even saw one that only took a week to cycle. As for test kits, you can purchase them for around $15-$20 that will measure the pH, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. Also...

    Phone Number

I've tried calling...and never get an answer. The message tells you to leave your name and number...but they never call back. I think your best bet would probably be just to order online...IF you want to order from this site, as it seems nobody cares enough to deal with the phone.

This site miss ID a fish maybe?

The Lunare Wrasse they have pictured on this site is identical to the one pictured on the ********* .com website. I think they have it on here correctly.

    Buying online

Beth...when you buy fish online, they use FedEX, and the package usually has to be signed for. They tell you it'll be there before 3pm, or before 10am for and extra $5. If you're not home when they try to deliver the first time...then you can go pick up the package the same day. But, if it's...

    Sally Lightfoot Attacking Snails???

Why does this site put them in the clean up packages if they're violent like that? That is how I got him. I found him eating on another snail today too. I try to reach in and take it away...and he runs under a rock WITH THE SNAIL! At this point...are there any advantages of keeping him in my...

    Sally Lightfoot Attacking Snails???

Is this supposed to happen? I was walking by my tank earlier today and happened to notice my Sally Lightfoot carrying one of my snails under a rock. Because I wasn't fast enough to get the snail away from him...I sat and watched him. He started digging into the snail shell and prying the...

    new tank breakin aceleration?

I heard that Stress Zyme is a good product to use to help with cycling.

    Cycling thoughts

2 Days to cycle? Wouldn't that be heaven for all beginning saltwater aquarists. Unfortunately...that would be impossible. My tank finished cycling after 2 1/2 weeks...but I still waited before buying any other fish than the 2 damsels I used to cycle the tank. And when I did finally get...

If you want SeaClone...you can get it cheaper than $150 from Petsolutions.com (got mine for $64.99 from them).

    Chep Salt

How cheap are you looking at? For buckets for 200 gal.: Petsmart.com sells it for $66.44 (includes shipping), PetSolutions.com sells it for $34.99 w/shipping anywhere from $15.42 - $34.42 (depending on zip code). My lfs sells it for like $75 with tax...so I would save at either of those sites.
