do not go to the beach and get water your tank will crash!! if you have access to a boat you can collect well offshore (several miles that is) however you may still introduce chemicals or bacteria that might harm certain animals
Just had my water tested yesterday by lfs and my own kit
oh had tank set up 5 months have had anemone for 1 month
also it hasn't had its foot settled for a week it has been moving back and forth between corners of tank.

i have no corals. do have 30 lbs of live rock and 40 lbs of base. could they have come from the lr? are any of these isopods or amphipods deadly to my crabs or are they just a nuisance
there are little redish bugs on one of my emerald crabs. they almost look like tiny ants. does anyone know what they could be. i wish i could take a picture but they are just too small.
