    Adding color to Lion tank

I have a 8" volitan lionfish and 10-ish inch SFE together in a 125. Would like some ideas to add some color to the tank- Harlequin tusk maybe? Some type of Angel? I dunno...my only experience is with triggers and I know I cant toss a trig in w/ the volitan. Would appreciate any suggestions guys!

    Algae, Algae, Algae - Help

Nah I got ur answer right here. What you need is a Sea Hare- looks like a giant snail with no shell, they cost about 15-20 bucks. I had the same problem...so bad I even tried taking my fixtures out and cleaning by hand. Trust me, Sea Hare. Guy was like a lawn mower. First day I could see a clear...

Where to go now- Stocking question

I want to thank those of you that have helped me get my tank and stocking list thus far together, your input is much appreciated. :joy: Im in a 120gal with a Volitan, Naso, choc. chip starfish, and SFE. Volitan is about 6-ish inches long, Naso is little more than half that size (Lion leaves...

    Mates for my trigger

135 is no sweat. It is no difference than a small tank with regards to daily/weekly maintenance...only bigger parts. I say grab the 135 and keep ur niger- thats more than enough for him. Grab the big tank, and holler if you have any questions!

    Blue Ribbon Eel

We arent discouraging you, just letting you know that you've got your work cut out for you. Some fish are fairly easy to take care of, and some are very difficult to take care of. Think of it like this: Freshwater Goldfish..................................................SW Blue ribbon eel <...

    Cleanup crew for an aggressive

Update: I found the answer, its called a "Sea Hare" - its a giant snail with no shell. Toss him in there, cut the light back in the tank for a week, and all that algae is history.

    Mates for my trigger

Neaners- I actually will agree with the owner of your local LFS on one thing: Go do your own research. 15 minutes with saltwaterfish.com, google.com, etc will show you that your niger will out grow your tank -very- quickly...probably less than a couple of months. Not to mention how stressed out...

    tangs

I've got a Naso Tang in my 125- after having seen how active he is, and how large they get grown up I wouldnt personally put another in there unless I had a little more room. Very very active swimmer.

For Anyone who has PVC piping for their eel...

I've got a SFE around 10" or so long, and I didn't put any PVC in the tank...he just kinda makes his own caves and holes under the LR as he pleases...is PVC just a preference for larger eels, or am I screwin this up or what? (Assume its fine as Im sure not every eel in the wild has a comfy...

    Yet another stocking question!

Good tip- the idea of bleach made me quite nervous. Anyway, I picked up a sea hair today...for anyone not familiar its a giant snail without a shell, and I'll tell ya what...this bugger can chow down some algae. Definetly recommend one long as ya got no trigs for him to become lunch to. Camera...

it about the time again for MM

Id like our judge evaluated on his qualifications. Psuso's eel at a 7 just cause the judge said seven would be perfectly fine. Giving it a 7 because its "small" was quite shocking to me. That tank is farkin huge...make no mistake, that guys a monster. Unbiased opinion here: All these eels look...
