    metal halide question

Not sure but I think it will not work. Work light is a different spectrum as opposed to a reef light. I dont think you can put a reef bulb in a work light because of different ballast. I'm sure someone will chime in on it.

    is it aiptasia?

Glad the boiling water worked for you. I had a massive AP breakout a few months back. Tried the chemicals (Joe's Juice). But, my tank is 31" deep and it was impossible to target them accurately. Boiling was out of the question (to many rocks to boil). Took a chance and bought 2 peppermint...

    Mating emerald crabs

Anyone have success in breeding emerald crabs? I have 6 in my tank and just saw a big one grab a little one and started doing it (missionary position). At first, I thought he was going to eat the little one. After a few minutes, they departed. Wonder what the odds of having babies?

The Damsel was kind of an bully. After a few weeks, the damsel accepted or tolerated the goby and all was...

    Water Changes

I use natural seawater from the pet store (5 gallons) jugs. I only have a 47 gallons tank. So, the cost isnt much of a factor. More than makes up for the simple water change with no mixing.

    Feeding with less mess.

If you do a "Super Glue" search on these forums. You will see that certain types are and can be bought at lowes or any local [hr] . Here's an example thread https://forums.saltwaterfish.com/t/296483/any-ol-super-glue Fiberglass is fine for the tank....wont hurt anything.

Works great and only took a few minutes. Spent more time trying to get the super glue off my fingers. Enjoy

    Feeding with less mess.

I guess I should. I just used "Vent Screening", you get from Lowe's or Home Depot. It's used to block vents and such from birds, leaves, bugs...etc. Made of fiberglass and basically just cut a 6" X 4" section. Or, whatever size you desire. Once cut, simply folded it in half and super glued the...

    Feeding with less mess.

Made this little rig up to feed the tank mates and is working great. Also good for the fish and shrimp. I place the frozen cubes in it like Formula 2, Marine Cuisine), Nori sheets and raw shrimp. Makes the critters work for their food and lessens the stuff floating around.
