I haven't heard that leopard's are rare and expensive....but, I have read that they can be hard to keep eating.....you may need to give him live baby brine to get him to start eating....I think 32.00$ would be a good deal....if you do decide to get one then I would make sure he is eating in the...
To get the hood off there are two hinges in the back....They are attached to the tank with little plastic pieces in a slot....You pretty much have to just pull on it....you can take a screw driver and push on the bottom....It's kind of hard to explain.....just go and pull on it.....HAHA
Yeah coral beauty's are angels.....I have one right now in my FOWLR and he is doing very well.....I would avoid damsels if i was you....I would look at some nice butterfly's.....
I wouldn't worry about the algae....I am sure it is just diatom bloom....typical for the first cycling process......It should go away in a short time.....add a clean up crew to help speed it up if you haven't already.....
If you want to get an anemone then I think you should take a look at the 24G aquapod....You can get one of those with enough lights to support an anemone and pretty much any coral stock.....
Haha yeah I broke off one of my hinges when i took off my hood too....but I overall have had a good experience so far....I replaced the pump so I don't hvae to worry about that....I also upgraded my lighting....The only problem I have right now is with no hood I have alot of evaporation....but...
Well if you are talking about buying live goods then yes you have to spend 79.00 and then there is a 10$ handling charge, and a gas charge usually comes out to about 100$....
I don't think that flow would be your diatom problem.....have you added a clean up crew yet....I recently just started a 24 aquapod and as soon as I had a bloom I added my clean up crew.....Most of the algae was gone in a little over a week....
Live rock is safe with all fish....if you decide to go with a reef tank you could be looking at a major investment on lighting for a 70 Gal.....just something to think about before you take the plunge.......
Yeah they are evil i was just trying to catch one with the pop bottle for about 2 weeks......finally i gave up and took out all my rocks....only took me about 5 minutes once the rock was out though.....next time i get one i am gonna put it on a leash before it goes into my tank.....haha
