We have one that sounds like your description at the store I work at. They call it a "bicolor blenny". I searched online and came up with the latin name Escenius bicolor. Look on Google images or something like that and see if he is a match.

The pet store I work at gets in groups of 20 or so false perculas at a time and there is always variation like that. I originally bought one orange one and one duller one and traded in the duller one so they would both match. It seems some are tangerine colored while others are more pumpkin...

The store I work at floats the bags for maybe 15 minutes, pops them and lets the water mix for maybe 10 minutes, and then DUMP! Egads....
