did you clean the sand before adding it? If you dont have fish turn the filter off and it should clear up in a few days

I went with the fluval 406 after returning the c-360. I also had the same problems with the c-360. But the fluval so far so good.

I turned it off, I heard some people say since it has to brake in it doesnt matter if you run it during cycle. Also read somewhere I just just run the skimmer drain line back into the tank. should I add another shrimp to the tank? the one that was in there has been gone for a few days.
