    Cleaner Crew

I have the light on for too long and I need to get a timer because I have too much going on to get back within 6 hours. I think I'll get a timer and some emerald crabs. There isn't any fish besides for a green dragonet to raise the nitrates and I don't have any trouble with phosphates. I will...

    Cleaner Crew

What cleaner crew would be good for a 35 gallon tank with pretty bad algae problems? So far I have 10 snails (which clean the glass) a couple of hermit crabs, and 5 red footed snails, but they're not doing the job I need to be done, which is to destroy the algae!!! Thanks.

    How does this look!!!!

Very nice pics. I have a dragonet too but mine is green. My tank is a 35 gallon and has been running for 1 1/2 years. I've had the dragonet for over 7 months, so I'm not sure about the thing that they starve after eight, because this one is the healthiest I've (personally) ever seen.

All quiet in the the reef tank.

For the ick get some kind of a cleaner wrasse like a sixline. I hope you have success with keeping those alive (and a nice skimmer).

How many fish + inverts + corals?

I agree with Sergeant on the idea od 1 in. per 5 gallons as a suggestion. It depends on whether your skimmer/filter can handle whatever is in the tank, but at the same time you wouldn't stock up a 55 with a whole bunch of tangs or something similar. Oh, 1 in. per gallon is the "rule of thumb"...

    clicking sound in eclipse 6

Hey I often hear this sound at night as well, but I don't have either of these hitchhikers. I have a different lighting system and I have a protein skimmer, but Before I switched lighting systems I heard it as well. I f you find out what it is be sure to post it. Thanks.

    Frogspawn????

It's just closed up. I have one and it's been doing very well for over half a year. It took awhile to acclimate, but only a day. After the day was up it came out in full but it oozed white stuff which I still do not fully understand. I heard the white stuff was a sort of mucus that certain...

    Hang-On Skimmer Recommendation

I have a Bak Pak2 hang on skimmer that works wonders on my 35 hex. The day I put it together and started it up it cleared up my water considerably. Plus it picks up alot of crud from the water. Good Luck with your decision.

    Hair algae problem

Source of algae=too much lighting+nitrates from my dragonet I checked the nitrates and they are a bit high so I am purchasing the nitrate sponge. As for the rabbitfish,I don't think it would fit inside of a 35 gallon tank, and besides I am doing a certain project inside my tank that requires me...

    Hair algae problem

Thanks guys. Texasex, you remembered the three feeders of algae correctly. I am planning on getting emerald crabs a nitrate sponge and possibly an algae blenny ( thanks for the suggestion jsburk0). Bid Boy69, I do believe that the results would vary based on your phosphates and nitrates as well...
