    Novahobbies' 37g Seahorse Tank Journal

I'm beginning to think that the aquarium hobby is one hook with a scrumptious and expensive bait after another. Your inspiring tank keeps becoming more and more inspiring. Can we have a full tank shot with these new additions?

    Sun Coral

I still wish to try a small frag. Not yet, but in the future. I have only two corals I want; sun coral and zoanthids. I may try some others that my family like, like colt coral, but they aren't my main interest.

    Sun Coral

I've seen some images of the coke bottle setup and was planning on doing that. I'm not ready to try a sun coral yet, but I definitely would like to in the future. I think I'm going to try cycling the 20g and turning it into a sun coral/zoa/invert tank

    Sun Coral

for the moment I only have the basic tank lighting that you get with tanks from petsmart or *****. I haven't bothered getting lighting for the 55 gallon yet because I haven't decided for sure what type I want. My mom and her bf seem a bit light sensitive, so I'm hesitant to go as bright as I...

    Sun Coral

Hello, I have no experience with coral and wanted to get more info before getting one. Sun corals don't require special and are seahorse safe and are one of my favorites so far, so I wanted to learn some more about them. What are ideal water conditions for them? I've read that they should be fed...

What Should I Feed my SeaHorse ???

An idea if you really want to keep the seahorses might be to temporarily divide off part of the tank for it, then get a proper seahorse and and start cycling it :) I'm actually rather curious about this particular idea and would like to hear some input from the experts

What Should I Feed my SeaHorse ???

They can survive for a while without food, but that doesn't mean that they don't need food. I'd say get some mysis asap, or at least some brine shrimp and feed the seahorse. Since you have a large aquarium, there was probably something or another living in the rocks that he could eat, but unless...

What Should I Feed my SeaHorse ???

It depends if it is a wild caught seahorse or captive bred. If it is captive bred, it has probably been trained to eat frozen food, so you would feed it Hikari mysis and PE mysis. If it is wild caught it needs to be quarantined and dewormed and will probably need live food. You can sometimes...

    A Tank Question

I just looked up how to read the expiration dates on the bottles and mine were produced in 2009 and still have about 2 years left until they expire. My guess is that the bacteria caught up to the bioload, but I don't have enough anaerobes to make the nitrate into gas. I tried getting some macro...

    A Tank Question

Okay, so my API test kit has a copyright from 2007. Would this suggest that it is old and could be giving me inaccurate results? I didn't see an expiration date or anything, so if there is one please tell me where it is.

    A Tank Question

That's great :) I was thinking that the 350's would be great to keep the water clean, but didn't consider the how safe they were around seahorses until after I got home I know that one would have been fine, but since seahorses are poop machines and this guy was selling them for pretty cheap, I...

    A Tank Question

The bottom pane has a sticker between the brace and the glass pane saying that all the panes are tempered. Oh by the way, no fans. Also does anyone think that the filters will be too powerful for the seahorses? Will they be enough to properly filter a 55 gallon?
