Think I just answered my own question. Is it "Maiden's Hair Plant (Chlorodesmis sp.) ? If so, is that good? and is it ok that its in the display tank.

Any ideas on what this is? I think it may have came in on the back of a snail shell as it hasnt been around for long (and only since we added the snails.) I've seen some of the discarded shells in the sand with small sprouts shooting off as well. It seems to grow in small patches like this...

The freshwater tank is a planted tank in progress. It has a lot of work to go, but its being done slowly to avoid spending too much at one time. I hope to have the entire thing covered in plants by this time next year.
