yea, I know the icecap would overdrive them, but the ballasts were given to me, and even if I bought them new they are only $25 each. Also like you said the life really runs down on them whem overdriven. I have to upload the program to put the pics on comp. so I will try to get them later today...

I had been battling cyano for a while, I bought some Red Slime Remover. Within 2 days it was already dying off, now a month later I havent seen a trace of it since. Incredible stuff if you havent tried it yet.
