I'm not sure what a Toby puffer is but it may some sort of sharpnose puffer. If that is the case you can keep them with smaller fish. I have a 4" blue spotted sharpnose puffer that doesn't bother any of my fish. he will pick on any snails or crabs that he cathces popping out of there...

Doing water changes during your cycle will only extend your cycle. Try putting a piece of uncured live rock in there. My tank cycled completely in about two weeks with uncured live rock. Where in Orlando are yuou from??? there are some good lfs with live rock north of the city in Longwood

My 75 gal sticks around 84 with or without lights on. Air cond. is around 73-75 almost year round. Maybe I have too many powerheads or a return that puts out some heat maybe. Anybody else run a succesful FOWLR with temps around 83-85????????/
