    Mini reef fish

I have a six gallon reef tank with a neon goby and a Sebae. I love both of them...They're so fun to watch together.

    Emerald Crab & Xenia

I could be the emerald crab, but I have seen of the same thing happening on two different occassions. One, a Maroon clown made the xenia on of his host, and he would beat the xenia up sometime and it would lose its fingers, and stay closed up for awhile. The other time some type of worm was...

    Corals, anenomes and clowns

In the ocean anemone can live for hundreds of years easy...who knows, maybe even thousand. Sadly, in tanks it is rare for them to live over 3 years.

    Clownfish Hosting Stories?

I had a tomato that love rubbing up on my mushrooms...All day he he would do this then at night he'd sleep up in the top of the tank. Weird. My Sebae first took a propagated bubble tip, but that was way too small for him, which was kind of funny, now he occasionally rubs in my green star...

Anyone know where I can buy some LONG pipettes??? PLEASE help then!

I would try looking at science stores. They usually have long pipettes. We use to use them in my Bioclasses and they were about 36 inches long. Most science type of stores carry them or look online at <a href="http://www.labboss.com/websearch.asp?foo=&query=pipet"...

Anyone use SmartLites? Are they good?

I use smartlites on my tanks, but again they are smaller sizes. For a 55 g. they would work. And I have had good experiences with them, however Smartlites are not the strongest nor most effective light out there, so you will be more limited to what type of items you could put in your tank...

What goes between tank and lights?

I have a Custom Sealife PCs over my tank and it is not covered, the tank has been running for 5-6 months now and I haven't had any problem... But I sealed around the bulb with Silicon after the first week because water evap. built up where the bulbs connected to the wiring and when the timer...

    Very Popular deadly coral!!!!!!!

I totally agree. When I leave me tank alone and just add chemicals and food occasionally my tank does the best. Sometimes I feel like I'm not taking proper care of my tank, but with in a week or so everyrthing takes off. The best results I have gotten in my tank, are when I care for it the...

    Tomato Clowns

It is diffucult to find one that will "play well" with each other. Although it does happen. Lots of time pets store will sell them in pairs. These pair are already use to each and get along just fine.. so to answer your question yes you can, but make sure they like each other before you buy...

    Not so Bright !

I agree with dshurett. He is more than likely eating or trying to eat some algae off of the glass. They really love to chomp down on some nice algae, so make sure your feeding them properly. Don't worry too much its common for them to do this... if thats is what he is actually doing.

    hermit crabs

I can't exactly give you any help on the zerba hermits, but I like my blue legged and my scarlets. The blue legs seem to do more work and can be more aggressive, so try and get these smaller than the scarlets if you can. And by the way, you don't need to post the same question three different...

    Sea Horse in Refugium

I don't see a real problem with it. However, the sea horses will eat the little critters. These critters are part of the idea of a refugium (refuge for the critters being part of the idea. But besides that I don't see any other problems for with it.

    Shawn!

I would do weekly water changes (half to one gallon per week). It helps a lot. You probaly don't need a filter, but I like to have one for water movement, and to filter out the lager stuff. Good luck with your tank. If you have any question I can try and help you with them, just email me at...
