    alge help

It looks like caulerpa. You can let it grow, but it grows pretty fast in right conditions, so keep it trimmed small. Or you can totally remove it. That is a coral on your rock, but I'm not sure what kind...

What kind of Sponge is this?

Sponges are very hard to keep. first, they cannot touch air, or it damages/kills them second, they are mostly not photosynthetic, and require feeding. they are filter feeders and need lots of current running past them in order to feed.

My feather duster lost its feathers!

Featherdusters do not like to be moved. And yes, they will sometimes lose their crown. I suspect since it lost only some, it is due to the stress of moving? Because usually, If it were due to poor water quality, they would discard their entire crown. Don't worry, they will grow back, even if it...

    Whats your cats favoret fish?

Freshwater angel, he hasn't figured out that there are fish in the marine display, LOL. I put a chair next to my freshwater tank, and he will just bat at my freshwater angel for hours. The angel enjoys it too, because it will swim right there next to the glass, when he usually gets scared to...

    Cycling tank

If the rock was cured when you bought it, by the time it gets to you, there should be a good enough amount of dye-off to cycle the tank if in a couple of days it does not start the cycle, I would then add some shrimp (1 isn't enough for a 125 gallon, is it?)

    Coral Question

yes, your tank is still cycling. IMO, you should add most of the fish you are going to put in your tank before adding corals, not to risk creating a second cycle in your tank, if you are even going to have fish.

    Cycle won't start!

Shrimp, or no shrimp, a cycle is going to stink any way, so I would go with the shrimp. Being mean to fish by cycling with them is not humane, so please do not take that word of advice.

It Allows for you to use a deep layer of substrate, and have aerobic, denitrifying bacteria throughout...
