If i were you, do what I did....went to lowes and bought blue rope lights, i wrapped them around my 6 ft tank, work perfect.

I have a prism HOB skimmer that i ran on a 55 gal. worked great, if you have a sump setup i wouldnt recommend it though. $50 plus shipping
