My flame angel is starting to get light blotches above its eyes where it looks like he has lost scales (it is not ich or a fungus). It is in a 46gal with two clowns and a pixy hawkfish. I feed it flakes, pellets, and the ocassional brine. Any idea what could be causing it?

too big! i have a 46bf and that thing is about 10-11" across. I have to rearrange my tank and put it in a place that has less fish traffic... that royal gramma exists no longer because of it. I was thinking of getting rid of the anemone because of it. I have two perc clowns that haven't hosted...

What type of carpet anemone is this? I think it is just a normal saddle or haddoni, I wanted to make sure.

I've checked and haven't seen anything. The underside is semi-hollow, with about a 1/8" cave if that's normal. I can snap a few photos tomorrow if that will help

it came looking almost exactly as it does now, then the heads extended for a few days and now they are almost completely gone. I'll be calling soon about it...

K, lets see if it lives... It was above my carpet anemone but not near any other corals. What do you think killed it? When it was shipped the top of the coral was above the waterline... It never extended much past what it looks like above.
