I just have a protein skimmer at the moment that seems to be doing fine by itself.
Where did you get your storage containers?? I was actually going to try asking a fish store if they'd 'donate' some buckets or something that I can use to move all of the water and critters.
Well, this move...
Well, IM going to be moving my aquarium about 40 minutes away from its original home. Im just wondering where I can get containers where I can put 20% of the water that I need to keep. Well, I guess 11 gallons or so isnt that bad, but still.
Should I drain all of the water from the aquarium...
Didnt know where to post this, but I will be moving my 55gal, with a few pieces of live rock, some shrimp, crabs and fish. Whats the easiest way to do it? How can I prevent the substrate from stirring around too much? Also, any other tips/tricks/experiences you want to share will be greatly...
I actually heard from an employee that an undergravel filter may cause your tank to crash becasue of a build up of "gunk" :-) at the bottom....is this true? I dont have one in mine, Im just wondering of the validity of his statements.
I have a bunch of little scratches here n there on my glass from scrubbing to hard- trying to get coraline algea off the front of my tank. BTW, does anyone have any BETTER methods of getting this stuff off? --and no razor blades either-- :p
Ive been getting the purple-ish kind all over my glass, and MAN is it a pain to scrape off!!! hehehe I also have it on my snails (which also have been growing like crazy) I dont have any other kind of algea growing as far as I can see.
Is there any other way I can take it off the front glass...
Im moving soon as was just wondering if anyone has advice about moving a 55gal, with some live rock, 2 fish, no corals yet, some shrimp, crabs, starfish and long spine sea urchin. THanks much! ;)
