my mag 7 has run solid in my 55 for 5 years straight. The only moving part is the impeller, low maintainance

RIO = Junk MAG 7 is what you should run for that 55 IMO

i'm a firm believer in constantly running "phosban" to ensure a phosphate free tank. The stuff is expensive but really is worth every $.

Thanks! yeah the xenia grows like weeds lol. system is pro clear aquatics wet-dry with a mag 7 return Pro clear skimmer rated for 120gal. lighting is 4 -110w VHO's

i use a toothbrush for those hard to reach areas

large water change and garlic extreme should take care of the pop eye for future ref

use a razor blade, works very well

thanks alot! didn't lose a thing. I actually gained another toadstool. When I was removing my large toad part of it was stuck to LR and it ripped off. I saved the piece and it has now fragged itself into a new toad!
