My lighting is 130 Watts of power compact florecents. One 12,000 K one Blue actinic. They're not even six months old yet. The water I use comes from a machine from Publix that has an RO filter in it and occasionally I use distilled water for top offs. I never really had a hair algae problem...

I don't know how many of yall are from the southeast but... I can't wait till the new Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta opens up in about a month and a half. It's sepposed to be the biggest in the world with over 8 million gallons of water.

I just rinsed mine off really well and ploped it right in.

my little brother has a 24gal tank. It's a really good teaching tool but as other people have already said... You'll probably end up having to do a lot of the work.

It's not a bad price. My LFS sells already salted water for 1.30 a gal but I still think it would be a better deal to just mix your own.

did you have any purple on your live rock? if it's already spreading, I'd say you're lucky. I've had my system set up for about 6 months and it's just now starting to spread and cover my base rock.

That sounds simple enough. Should this be done with the mushroom in water or could I take it out of the water to cut it?
