    Tang behavior questions

I would have to agree with Sammystingray on the Purple tang. My Powder Blue is very active and I am glad I have 150 gal. for him. Hippo would add some great color to your tank though!

    baby volitan..........what a good boy!

I have rarely read about those who have a GOOD eater. I brought my baby home 3 wks ago and ate the first thing I put in. I am surpised (and relieved), now he is eating everything from krill and silversides to mysis shrimp if his tankmates don't get to it soon enough. Not to mention he will eat...

Lowered S.G. and PB was freakin' !!

I had my SG at 1.014 until I was informed that that level is useless. (thank you, again) Just finished lowering it to 1.010 this morning. My coral beauty is fine, and the percs. are still their cute carefree-selves:D The reason I am doing this is only for the powder blue. I have had him for 2...

    S.G. for hypo treatment

Thank you very much for your responses! It's unfortunate how much BAD-info is out there. What is more unfortunate is that I got my info from a well know aquarium magazine:eek: Guess they didn't do their homework.

Thanks for the responses so far everyone. Yes, Broomer, it is short and firmly attached. My tank has been running for only 2 months. (if that helps any) The reason it surprised me what this is that these are the rocks my LFS "claimed" WERE live rock but obviously are not sold as live rock...

    Should I be concerned...............

Just got a yellow tang on the weekend, and he is very happy and healthy (in appearance), but he swims around and "flicks" his dorsal fin a fair bit. Is this common or could his fin have be hurt/injured. As a precaution have have put liquid vitamins in his Emerald Entree. Any thoughts?
