    Psycho Pseudochromis help!

Yeah, I think I am just going to take it out and get rid of it. It will be so hard to catch it that I do not think that I want to try and put it back in after a few days. I actually thought that I was getting a royal gramma when I bought it. That is the fish that I really wanted. Do you have...

    Psycho Pseudochromis help!

Hi, I have a thirty gallon tank with lots of rockwork and caves with a Bicolor Pseudochromis that I have had for over a month now. Real pretty fish that was kind of shy and hid in the rocks alot. I decided to get another fish so I purchased a pygmy angelfish. I put it in the tank and the...

    Fish selection 30 gallon

I do not have any algae yet. I think because I have not got my lights yet. I just bought a 192W power compact light that will be here in two days. My tank has been set up now for three or four weeks. It has sand for the base which I mixed two different sands from *****. One came in a bag...

    Fish selection 30 gallon

Hi, I was wondering what would be a good combination of fish for a thirty gallon tank. I like mainly the really colorful fish. I was thinking maybe a royal gamma, a purple firefish, and then I do not know. I would like one more fish that is not one that hides. One that swims out in the open...

96 watts what will it support?

Thank you for all of the replies. The tank depth is 15 inches. The soft corals like mushrooms and leathers are all I really ever want to keep. If I change my mind later I can always add on to my lighting. I did not realize that anenomes required so much light but that is okay because I just...

96 watts what will it support?

Hi, I am looking for a light for my 30 gallon aquarium which is 36" long with the front corners are flat. I found a 96watt 36" 50/50 power compact light that is in my price range. Right now I have nothing and I am cycling the tank. Later I just want to add maybe a few of the easiest corals to...

    Dried sea fan?

I am setting up a saltwater fish only tank which may be a reef tank later on. Is it okay to use a dried sea fan in an aquarium? I got one at hobby lobby that is yellow in color. Thanks, Julia

Mirrored back aquarium how do I remove?

I am not sure what it is made of. It is grey on the back and real chalky when I try to scrape it of. Once I scrape past the grey then there is this silvery grey residue that is even harder to scrape of. I have only been able to make a couple scratches in the residue.

Mirrored back aquarium how do I remove?

Hi, I am working on setting up my 30 gallon aquarium as a saltwater tank. My problem is it has a mirrored back on it. Some of the mirror has started flaking of so I thought it would be easy to remove but I can not scrape it of. I tried a razor blade but I could only remove a little bit. Have...

    Is this sand ok?

I have been trying to decide what to use in the bottom of my aquarium. Would it be okay to use the sand from my local beach? I live in south Texas. There is a reef about 50 miles offshore. Surely it has the same sand under it. The sand is tan in color. Has anyone ever done this and had...

    I am so confused

Yes I know that the rock I am making is not live yet. I plan on buying some actual live rock to seed out my base rock. So how deep do I make the sand? Should I use a plenum underneath it? Thanks, Julia

    I am so confused

Hi, :help: I have tried keeping a reef tank once before but I did not have much success with the corals. I could only get a few mushrooms to live. I did not have any problem with the fish though. So I miss my tank and I have decided to start a tank again. I will probably stick to fish but...
