I was researching some more on these creatures and found some pictures that look somewhat like them. Are q-tip sponges a type of syconoid sponge?

Attached is a picture of something I need an ID on. I think they may be hydroids. They are small white tubular creatures about a quarter of an inch long. Can someone ID and tell me if they are a problem and if they are how to get rid of them.

I had that same problem when I first started my tank. I added an algae blenny and it was gone in a couple weeks.

Could you send me some pictures of the tank?
