    Also, yep I ordered a refractometer the other day so it should be here soon. I'm going to start gradually lowering the salinity (checking it with my hydrometer. It reads about 5 thousandths too low) and will finish the job to 1.009 once the refractometer gets here.

    Thanks so much for the reply. I've noticed since posting here that both my angelfish and kole tang also have had an outbreak of ich. I'm planning on treating the display tank using hypo salinity so hopefully everything goes well. I'm pretty attached to these little guys :)
