I ran a 660 (4x48" VHO) for about six years before I had a problem with it. I had it fixed by IceCap and it's back on the tank for hopefully another six or until I upgrade to MH.

I don't know about zillions of spores, but you can't really pull them off the rock. They will regrow from what is left behind. I have killed them by using a syringe and injecting them with a very strong milky kalk mixture. Now I have shrimp that keep them knocked down pretty well. Lynn

Many of them are interchangeable, but I don't know about ALL of them. Mine is a Kent and it does take generic 10" replacement filters. I don't think I can give a link here even if this site doesn't sell them, but you should be able to google up some options pretty easily.

I don't see a model CPR-125 overflow on their web site. Do you know what flow it is rated for?
