    maroon clown and green bubble

Thanks all! The clown does move out and around a little more now, but not much. I have noticed what you said about the anemone not seeming to care if the clown is there or not. But he does get very excited about food. Thanks for the great site links too. I am trying to get all the information I...

    Bubble Algae

We got our crab for the same reason. Bubble algae. I couldn't PAY that crab to go anywhere near the stuff. But the turkey baster method worked perfectly! He is a cute little guy though.

    @#$% turbo snails!!!

Super glue or that coral glue stuff? Is it safe with fish in the tank? Most are on rubble. A couple I thought were attached to the LR but I guess not well, since now they are in the sand. Thanks for the info!!

    @#$% turbo snails!!!

Won't it effect the growth? And how do I get it on the stalk part? Wouldn't it just get all curled up if I took it out of the water to glue it? Sorry, I have never glued anything in the tank before.

    maroon clown and green bubble

Is it normal for my maroon clown to stay RIGHT ON my green bubble anemone like almost 24 hours a day? He hardly ever leaves it since he discovered it on Sunday.

    @#$% turbo snails!!!

Is there really a good reason to keep these dang snails??? I am really getting tired of moving the mushrooms back to their spots because the snails decided to crawl over em and knock em off the rocks. And who even knows what happened to the button polyps they knocked off. If they are...

    Is this normal?

Wow that light is a deal. But I hate to get rid of what I have because I know I won't get anything out of em! I know I need something more though cause at some point I want to buy more coral! We clean our filters weekly right now which does the trick. Like you said not much there. About the...

errrr ummmm yes lights. I'll have to ask the hubby. Lights are not my area of expertise. I know one is a coralife T5 with a 28 blue and 28 white? Does that sound like one? haha The other is a coralife compact but I can't remember the total amount. I'll ask when he gets home. One of my conserns...

    Is this normal?

Thanks Sue for saying what was on my mind too. I have been getting worried that I don't have the perfect tank set up sometimes and keep forgetting that I have not had a death at all since I started and my water is healthy and my fish and coral seem happy (except maybe the ever-moving anemone...

    traveling anemone

We did get a few more lbs of lr to add to the bigger tank and figured there might have been some sort of die-off from it even though it was cured, because we did have a very low ammonia almost .25 for one day a couple of weeks ago. But everything (na, ni, a) has been at 0 since and the tank was...

    First time to post photos

We have a coralife compact from our old tank and a coralife T5 in the back. We are thinking about replacing them with one BIG light, but we like the look for now. And the hubby picked out the clown. He likes maroons the best. I picked out the pigmy angelfish which hides out so far. I am hoping...

GOOD NEWS..... I think. Our clown has discovered the anemone and has been happily rubbing around for at least 30 min. Is this a good sign?

    First time to post photos

Well, We are so excited about the lastest addition to our growing addiction that I decided to post some pics and get some feedback from the experts. I realize there is not much in there to critique as of yet, but maybe we could also get feedback about our fish wish list.

ROBDOG - Thanks for the awesome response! I was worried that he was getting too much powerhead. He has moved back out and has stayed put at least for today. We also got some t5s today to give the tank more lighting. He a green bubble anemone (at least I think that is his name). The store...

    traveling anemone

Well thanks for the info. I must say I am a little disappointed to hear that the tank may be a little too young. Our LFS has never steered us wrong in the past. They are very honest about what fish are good for our tank and what we should wait on. They are extreemly knowledgeable and take care...

    traveling anemone

This tank is 75 gallon. Been up a few weeks, but everything in it came from our old tank which was 4 or 5 mths going. About 60 lbs LR 55 lbs LS. We have our own test kit and we took our water to the LFS to get it tested too just in case. They fed him at the store and he ate a little. I am...

    traveling anemone

Our new tank is doing soooooo awesome! Saltwater tanks must be our thing. To celebrate our tanks success (cycled yes) we bought a marroon with yellow stripe clown and a green anemone to be his friend. Well, after lights out the anemone got the idea to check out the tank. He wondered around and...
