i have dual 65watt the 48" i think there pc one's on my 55g the Green Star Polyp seem to be doing well im useing ro/di water now have about 40lbs of really good lr all water test out to 0 sg 1.024 think ill be ok

just like to know? i got some really good lr that is coverd in Green Star Polyp as it was just on the rock I know nothing about it so the thing is do I feed it Or dose it get what it needs from the light?? I looked on google but it was no help could someone give me a hand Thanks

hay thanks, my tank is doing just fine I just want to add some corals and ive been told if I didnt have ro-di water theyed all die and I dont want to kill them .I changed 50% of my water today and just want to know when it would be safe to add more stuff

I need an idea on water changeing. If you use tap water and then do the right thing and change to ro-di and you have 55g of water how much water do you need to change before you have all the tap water out?????

well hay if it helps any I find that those who do most times know.so I thank you for your advice on this . so looks likr ill be off to the water store I guess if i think about it the iodine is $15 and the water is $.75 the water and if thats all i need then fine by me

oh ok im sorry I looked at what you said wrong. So you think if I use ro/di and the reef crystals that ive been useing ill be ok? because theres a water store 2 blocks from me that sells ro/di by the gal and if I have to pick ro/di or death ill take the ro/di

Ok Im new to coral and Im not geting very much help from my lfs I want to add some Xenia and some Green Star Polyp. One guy says I only need to add some iodine to my water and ill be good. the the other says that they will die because I use tap water. I dont know what to do becasue im being told...

i cant tell you what the crab is with out a pic if you can post one. and as for tap water being 1.000 I have no Idea ive never tested it if you want to know for sure call your water company and ask them were the water in your area is testing out at or try google

think about this if you dont need to acclimate inverts why did the sales person put the stuff in two bags not one big one. the crabs are not going to eat the snails?

do each in its own bag more work but thats what id do. let me ask you one thing you have two bags ? do both have clean up crew in them?

i dont think thats right at all. The water in your lfs is not the same as what you have at home and the water in the bag dose cool down in the time it takes you to drive home. even small chanages can kill saltwater fish and stress them out so i say acclimation is the best way to add to your tank.
