    dying hammer coral

i don't think it's been eating. it's about mid level in my tank, under 440 watts of VHO. i've tried moving it around; higher, lower, more flow, less flow. nothing seems to help. i try to be very aware of anything messing with it and i have not seen anything picking at it.

    possible causes for low alkalinity

what can cause low alk? Mag is @ 1230, ph 8.3/8.4, cal is around 335 ppm. alk with daily supplements of seachem reef builder, is hard to get over 8 dKH, i guess i could up my dosage but i don't want to cause any damage. adding 1/2 tsp to approx. 60 gallon water volume, (display tank/sump)...

established 55g reefs, how/what/where current makers?

maybe i'll try building the spraybars, right now i'm only running one of them. i've got some frogspawn and a hammer and it's just too much for them. my toadstool doesn't seem to mind though.

    pic's of powerhead placement

cool. razor, how many gph is an 802? are those other two powerheads at the top of your tank 802's as well? so you basically built a spraybar for the bottom powerhead, you just used flexible tubing? that's a pretty good idea. what did you use to cap the end of it? do you have to clean it at...
