I have completed several water changes 1/4 tank last week, this week about, well almost half. Tested water before last change PH 8.2 ammonia .25 nitrite. 25 and nitrate 20, Now after another water change, PH 8.2 Ammonia .25 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 40 Got filters etc. So wonder what is going on...

Well did a water change after the lion fish was removed from the tank and all is well. Will stop using the PH buffer, ammonia is down to 0 phew. Only issue I still have is the nitrate. In a week will do another smaller water change until it all shows in the right amounts. Thanks for your help...
