    just by your description of the claws id think hes eating your snails for sure. Are there crushed shells collecting? one method ive used is to use a noose made of thicker fishing line. if you can get the loop near him hell grab it in defence....pull and youll get him snagged.

    Its Kaneohe bay, at my parents house The island on the right is Coconut island research facility for University of hawaii. its hard to see, but where the water turns blue there is a 30 foot verticle cliff thats all coral heads. I spent half my life on that dock growing up.

    Hes not a cuttle or a squid, they have there own geinus, but are still a cephalapod (sp?) They eat live shrimp I catch both here which is where i grew up. I also caught my fuzzy lion, flame angle and numerous other critters here

    just sharing, this is a bad pic of one of my cephlopods. Euprymna scolopes (not my pic) They are less then 2" long and have protiens that emit light. also a seperate geinus from octos and squid I've breed them before, but not recently. they live about 9 months.

    my lion eats crabs all the time, though they are tiny. I drop them in his Q-tank when im un-hitchhiking live rock, and there all gone by the next day. Though if they have a rock to "hold" onto there very hard for the lions get since suction is there main method of capture...as well as groupers.

    I use 2 nets. position one stratigicaly in a place where the fish is likely to pass, and use the other to chase him in... The point is to have the "catching" net not move until hes inside and the other net keeping his attention. Ever whatch the croc hunter? he waves a hand infront of the snake...

    multiple display tanks on one system?

    My intent is to get a long lineir display area, preferably made of mulitpe sections. split by mullions. maybe one system with preferated dividers or tubes much like those eel tanks. I also have limited filter space as the island still needs to function for the kitchen first.
