It is coming from the lfs, but the peices are fairly large and they do not have a bag large enough for one of them.

I was thinking of purchasing some LR but do not have a clue on how to transport it. Does it have to stay completely submurged or can I just put some of the saltwater in the bottom of a stryofoam cooler and cover the rest of if it in wet paper towels? I will have to travel about 15 minutes.

The damsel is doing quite well. I was really worried since the amonia is so high. But it swims around a lot and eats well when feed. I have been feeding it brine shrimp. I was just expecting to see the amonia droping by now and at least some indication of the nitrates or nitrites starting...

I have a wet dry wheel and no live rock yet. I completely removed the cc since I had just started the set up. I was told that I should start seeing a change in the amonia in about a week but it has been a little over a week and it seem to keep going up (off the scale).

I changed my 29gal aquarium over to ls last week and I still have low ph (under 7.8) and high amonia's ( over 8) I have one damsel in it. How long should I expect the amonia's to stay high?

Since I am getting some of the rock from an established aquar. is there anything that I should look for to make sure that I want it or is it just luck???

I have a 29 gallon tank. The live rock that I would be starting with is coming out of another aquarium

thanks, I was kind'a worried. I have read about the nitrates and nitrites and amonnia but nothing about ph.

when is the best time to add the skimmer. Would you add it once you add the fish for awhile of do you add it now????

thanks. I'll go get some now and order some more from here. and another question. If you have a lot of the ls and lr and a good cleanup crew do you need a protein skimmer????

thank you so much for your reply. I was just trying to get a good combination. I have a filter and a wet /dry wheel but I dont know what king of live rock that the lps has. I don't think that they even know. So does the live rock go in now or after it cycles???

per everyone's suggestions I have changed the cc out of my tank and added ls. I was looking at adding live rock but I see that most people say that they have over 50# in their tank. This seems like a lot. Is it really heavy. The ones they have at the pet store seems like it would take a lot...

Do you know if swf ships to Tx this time of year since it is so hot?? None of the pet stores aroung here have a very large varity of any of the crabs or shrimp or anything like that.

once this has cycled what is the best things to start with. The cleaners or fish or both?
