I'll look now. Are you sure you aren't already hitting the wine? Your first response has nothing to do with my question.

Been wanting to ask this for years

Cool, thanks guys. My fish are so clean they actually avoid the cleaner wrasse. Nobody scratches themselves, But you've both answered my question. They're not always ready to put on a show. Just like my favorite band, Cream. Sometimes they were fantastic, other nights not so much. More responses...

Do Green Carpets stay closed when not hungry? (Pic included)

From what I understand corals/mushrooms/anemones are far more delicate than fish when it comes to water quality, and they're all fine, plus all of my other fish are doing great, even my blue face angel who was terrorized by my other Queen Angel. Any other ideas?

Been wanting to ask this for years

I've always wondered about this but never occurred to me to ask hundreds of other people at once in a saltwater fish forum. Do your fish all act the same from one day to the next? In other words, some days my tank is a delight, everybody is swimming around in different parts of the tank...

Do Green Carpets stay closed when not hungry? (Pic included)

OK thanks. Been dealing with some troubling situations with the tank these past few days. Majestic angel eats and swims normally but then hides in the uppermost corner of the tank for hours. Flame angel fully colored and swims around but stopped eating yesterday. There is no fighting or...

    Carpet help please!!!

pegasus, what you said has me concerned about my green carpet (I started another thread on it so I won't go into too much detail). Basically he stays shriveled up the past 3 days or so. I included a pic. You should be able to find the thread easily enough.

Do Green Carpets stay closed when not hungry? (Pic included)

I just got this guy a week or so ago. Up until recently I've fed him with whatever mysis shrimp falls on him when feeding my other fish, but for the past 3 days I've been placing a sizeable chunk of shrimp on him, which he eats. However now he always looks like he does in the included pic. Does...

Some of my beautiful fish ! Warning Photo Heavy.

You gave me quite a startle with your comment about having a twin brother. I, in fact, do have a twin brother. We're fraternal twins, but some people used to look at us and immediately knew we were twins. I'm going to shoot new video tomorrow with the elephant ear mushrooms. As usual I'll post...

If only it were true. I'd never guess the country hicks of N.C. were so superficial. Anyway, like I said, don't feel bad for me. I'm handling it. As long as my tank is doing ok I'm fine. It's kind of a memorial to my wife. That's another reason I get so pissed when things go wrong, but it seems...

Thanks for the kind words, Pegasus. I've finally let out why I'm such a p*pick here sometimes. Those are the days when it hits me a little harder. I'll never remarry. I'm 60, look like a friggin' hillbilly with all the teeth I'm missing, and frankly, I just can't give of myself to someone else...

Community? HA! The only community here is for reef tanks. I joined 8 years ago and stopped going after a few months. If you don't have a reef tank they don't want to know you. Come to think of it nobody wants to know me anyway. It has to be my NY personality because the only person here who...

Some of my beautiful fish ! Warning Photo Heavy.

I appreciate your kind words. As I've mentioned in other threads these guys swing back and forth between being helpful and being dickheads. One day I'll write a separate thread listing all the crappy things they've done to me. All I know is they're damn lucky. They do just enough to keep me from...

Some of my beautiful fish ! Warning Photo Heavy.

I'll try to make this brief. Every time I relive this I want to punch somebody. 10 years ago when my family and I moved to N.C. we finally had enough money to set up an aquarium, something I didn't want to do in Florida because I knew I wanted out of there. OK, I digress... I bought my current...

You're welcome! I've never lost anything other than tangs to ich. The two flame angels I lost, one developed a fungus on his face and gills, and the other was a victim of the catastrophic "Closed Cover Disaster". Long, aggravating story.

Exactly where do bubble tip anemone like to perch?

Well, my bubble tip disappeared again. Two days hiding inside a cave. I can understand them wanting to be where the ideal light and water flow is, but inside a cave? With not much of either?

Geez what a buzz kill. If a fish is healthy he can fight off ICH. My Hippo Tang was covered in ICH but healthy and ate like a pig, and a week later he was clean. Months later he's still spotless. Plus I don't see any ICH on those tangs

How to set white balance when shooting video of aquarium

I've always used Auto mode when shooting video of my tank, but whenever I move my camera it changes the white balance, hence my Hippo Tang will go from correct blue to washed out blue to purple, etc. Also my black background appears blue. I tried taking a measurement reference photo of my...
