Eh, there is always room for frags. I see four or five bare spots and an entire side of the tank I can fill. In a year, I will probably be fragging everything. Tonight, I have to scrape the glass and do a 1g water change. There are literally thousands of copepods in my tank, all over the...

I bought a flame scallop. He has found a new home under some rocks. Looks really neat. I also bought a green mythrax crab and a new type of short tentacled flowerpot coral. Anyways, all is doing good. Pics to come when things settle in. I'm ordering a test kit today.

Yep. I buy fresh saltwater and use a small heater to warm it up. I also bubble it with an air pump for an hour or so if the saltwater has been sitting stagnant. I add 2ml of seachem fusion 1 and two while it bubbles. I use a distilled water jug to take out exactly one gallon and replace it...

    5g reef

I've been adding 1ml of seachem fusion 1 and 2 every day for a week and I am seeing my montipora start to take off and a couple new flecks of coralline. I'm not sure if it is because of my dosing routine or good husbandry. I wish I had a test kit. That might be the next major purchase. Oh, and...

Oh, I thought everyone knew about Vibrio. Glad y'all learned something.

Vibrio is one of the worst bacterial infections someone can get. Horrible stuff.

More coralline flakes all over the glass. Must be maintaining good water parameters. Never tested them. Lol I'm thinking I'll do a 1g water change this Saturday. It's going to be an all day event. I might even have to miss the concert I had planned to go to. Ugh, there goes my Saturday.

I was having a difficult time reaching all the areas and corners of the tank with a toothbrush, so I modified the handle. I drilled holes in a 1/2" piece of PVC and inserted the toothbrush and marked out where the holes should be on the toothbrush handle. Then drilled holes in the handle. I...

My new additions are doing great! I think I am fixing to cut up that gap and scatter it in the tank.

Well, I just bought a green long tentacle flowerpot coral, a nice slab of orange montipora cause I think I killed my other frag. I also bought a small colony of brown protopalythoa with green mouths. Pics to follow when they all open up.

Yesterday I noticed that coralline is starting to grow on the bottom part of the glass, and the bottom of the tank. Looks like it will all be covered sooner rather than later.

I have some pink anthellia right now. What you suggested looks very simar to xenia. I'd rather pulsing xenia if anything - even though I know it's invasive.

Green Nephthia is one of my favorites. My LFS has it for about $35 for a medium sized single stock. Not terribly bad. I wish we could get true pink Nephthia in the US.

    Canopy fans and condensation .

I always painted the inside of my canopies with a thick layer of white paint for the reflection. Then I spray painted gloss metallic paint on top of it. It gave it some protection against moisture and reflected a lot of light back down into the tank. But that's just me.

Lol, we will see how well it matures in the months ahead. Some of the mushrooms have already split and some of the zoa's are starting to bud new heads. It won't take long to see where this goes. Though, I wish I had a green tree coral or a yellow one instead of a brown Kenya tree.... Which by...

No fish. I'm going to stock with inverts in the near future. Possibly a small shrimp, a couple of green mythrax, and any other small thing I can find, like tiny black brittle stars. Every time I go to the LFS, I get a small bag of those asterina starfish. Most of the corals I've bought are $5...
