while they will most certainly eat aiptasia Why spend the money on a fish for the sole purpose of getting rid of the apitaisa. If you want the fish aptasia or not then go for it if not don't
I have also tried it with great successes at lowering nitrates. the key IMO is to constantly cut it back constantly check your nitrates you have to find the balance between the growth and the availability of food so it does not go sexual in an attempt to survive
Need much more info for anyone to help IMO what kind of tank did you run in the 75 what equipment did you have and still have what is your budget are just a few things you have to tell us
Agree on LPS, could be a Blasto or Lobo BUT I am going to say it’s a Caulastrea called in the trade trumpet coral or CANDY CANE. Btw A picture of the stalk would help.
Jay no matter what you call them they make a great addition to your tank
FWIW they are sifters BUT they also are great jumpers when spooked, you may want to consider a cover until it gets acclimated to your tank and even then egg crate may be wise
ask yourself why you are adding a CUC. If you are meeting that goal with what you have you are fine. If not add a few more critters. Do so until you are happy with the appearance of your tank
