Does LR and GSP have an impact on bioload?

...Clown fish, even the smaller species, can get to 3" and some species will get to 6", The cardinal and gramma are good in a small tank, the gobies likely are too but not with a total of 9 fish. The point is you have to look at their needs and size not just based on now but also for their...

Does LR and GSP have an impact on bioload?

...tank and the GSP is nearly out of control. The tank has been super stable with very few casualties, but I just added a couple small yellow gobies and I worry about bioload. The tank current occupants include: >Bi-color dwarf angel >Royal Gramma >Benghali Cardinal >Six line wrasse >Pair of...

Does this list look ok for fish ideas

...Firefish are not compatible with Royal Gramma. If you're going to pick one I would lean toward the Gramma. The PJs will Shoal. The Gobies will fight but if you use your aquascaping to divide the sand bed into two half sized sandbeds it can work. Make sure you get a male Mandarin and a...

    Small FOWLR tank

Thanks for the reply. I have had various size tanks over the years, but this 40 gallon is all we can fit in our small home. It looks great, but very limited as to what we can have in the tank.

    Small FOWLR tank

...the diameter is only around 18-24 inches you will be limited to the type of fish. You can do a lot with small reef fish like dart fish, gobies, basslets. A butterfly is out of the question, they need much bigger tanks. A Pygmy angel might be OK but pretty much all others need a bigger...

Need advice on a few fish options

Shrimp goby pair would be cool. Maybe one of the more unusual gobies. Not sure what else would fit. Maybe a fire fish, purple or exquisite to get more color.

    Nano reef aquariums

...than 8 and you can have more than 1 fish. If you chose carefully and re-home the maroon clown you can probably do 3-4 peaceful fish (no damsels) that have small adult sizes (less than 3 inches) like watchman gobies, clown gobies, oscelaris clowns, firefish, Royal gramma, orchid dotty back, etc.

    Luvmyreef's 20g Nano Build

That is the problem with gobies. I have two Tongaroa gobies, very skittish. Moved them into my 125 a couple weeks ago and haven't seen them since. Might just be that they are only about an inch and a half long and they are transparent white with tiny red and white dots. Even if they are out...

bonding or mating a pair of fish

I've never purposely attempted to breed Gobies. From what I understand the most successful way is to introduce 5 or so Gobies, wait for a pair, and then remove the others. I also believe there are people that do this constantly to sell paired gobies. If it were me I would attempt to purchase...

so I was wondering if there is a technique to this that any of you would like to share? I would like to bond or mate my own pair of tiger gobies...so is it as simple as putting them both into a QT tank and placing a plexiglass separator between them and over time they will just become used to...

    This hobby sucks lol

...is to have a list of fish u want and an order in which they should be added...although the compatibility charts that I have seen say Hawks and gobies should have no issues I will likely be taking the hawk out although I really like him "or did" because I'd rather have a sifter and not only...

People give clown gobies a bit of a bad rap- I saw them in an aquarium somewhere and they seemed to be swimming out in the open.
