    Jay i totaly agree about the Naso they can grow to over a foot in the home aquarium. BUT if we go by Imforbis within a very short time her hippo will grow to over 12" I have seen a lot of home aquariums and NEVER have i seen a hippo that size.

    With all due respect to my good friend Jay i have been a keeper of tangs in my tank for years and have never had to remove one because it out grew the tank. fish size is predicated on wild caught fish not fish kept in a closed system infinitely smaller then the open ocean

    Time to try old school. Pick a corner where you can easily syphon them out. Turn off all the lights in the tank and room. Then shine a flashlight in the area you want to siphon. Be patient when they come to the light and you start siphoning them out.

    Im a little confused. you were trying to cycle your tank with dry rock and dry sand. but what were you adding for organic breakdown ? while LR may play a part it bio filtration it does not have to play a big part in successfully keeping a tank

    Why are you using a fish to start your bio filtration ?????? its not just total weight that matters its how many pieces of rock that make up the total weight that will influence how your tank looks
