    Current USA orbit marine

I was told that it's not a water temp problem... that the light can just get too intense and scorch certain corals.. too much par. Not sure though, we'll see. Mine will be here by march 6th I think.

Well nothing really except that each led is 3 watts. They are very high output. so much that you actually have to turn them down so they don't fry stuff... so I've heard anyways. (orbit's are .25 watts per led) I just need a lot more kick for the anemone's I have and the corals I intend to get...

    Current USA orbit marine

Almost bought one from SWF... the only thing that stopped me was not getting free shipping on an order over $250. Glad I didn't after researching them. Just not enough for the corals I want and my tank is on the deeper side. I just ordered the chinese dimmable 165 watt (55x 3w) full spectrum...

Nostalgia... Cause sometimes it's the little things.

Yeah they live in lagoon areas I think. Which is weird that they are known for being almost impossible to keep long term. We shall see. Thanks for the heads up on the dosing.

I appreciate that. I would love the help when I'm ready to frag. And yeah I was thinking about getting a small hang on skimmer and have been thinking about carbon dosing. I'll check out the seachem matrix. Maybe I could do a small hang on the back "refugium" to house it.

    Arrow crab?

Love them.. I've never had any problems with them.. but I didn't have them with corals except for a leather toadstool I think. I've had them with fish, hermits, snails, nudibranches, anemones, shrimp, sea apple, sponge, hard tube coco worms and my arrow got big... really big. I don't think you'd...

    Copper Sensitive Fish

thanks..lol. I was having to throw the salinity acclimation being slower when you go back up cause of our banter on the other thread.

    Copper Sensitive Fish

If there's ever a reason you want/need to do hypo don't let it intimidate you, it's super easy... it's only the reduction in salinity and all's you wanna do to acclimate the fish is to make a gradual change over time. so if you have a small hospital tank. start out by having it match the...

Nostalgia... Cause sometimes it's the little things.

Not sure on the phosphates. I haven't been testing for it for like 5 months. But will be getting a kit for it soon because I'm about to get some SPS going once my light comes in. Nitrates I try and keep under 10 but they do get up there sometimes. They will hit 20 (Yikes) If I skip a water...

Incredible. I must say. Thank you for sharing. Your tank is so beautiful. I have a Green Goniopora that is doing very well. I've gotta move it to my larger tank because it's just taken off. I really like that red goni. Here's some pics to show the growth over the time I've had it.

Love it! I saw them in their tanks and was thinking I should ask them to try to send me one. Super cool Mandy. Is that a pink Goiniopora? I've never seen a pink one.. very pretty.

o nitrate huh? hmm.. I can never make that happen no matter what I do. Especially on a new tank that's recently cycled.. I battle the heck outta that. So you did indeed go through the cycle process and watched all of them spike and then drop? (Ammonia then nitrite then nitrate) And had a diatom...

Nostalgia... Cause sometimes it's the little things.

umm.. I'd have to check but I thought that pearl oysters, abalone and maybe a couple of other things made mother of pearl and that mother of pearl refers to specific species that make that shiny, rainbow colored layer in the sea shells. Which not a lot of animals make

Nostalgia... Cause sometimes it's the little things.

It was absolutely amazing. Try it if you get the chance (if you like seafood). It was sushimi style so they served it raw with onions and some kind of vinaigrette dressing. It wasn't fishy at all and had a little bit of a chewy consistency like snails. The shells are very pretty. Gotta like the...
